The Annual Report on Charitable Giving by the Secretary of State's office is on their website: http://sos.ms.gov along with links to the American Institue of Philanthropy, Charity Navigator, Guide Star and other websites that can give you information about recognized charities in Mississippi.
Ryder mentioned the Mississippi Public Service Commission is where you go to register a residential or cellular phone number for the Do Not Call List http://www.psc.state.ms.us/
Ryder's 5 steps for setting up a Donor Advised Fund:
- Open an account online
- Fund the account with cash or stock
- Invest the funds within the account
- Direct to which charity the proceeds should be donated
- Designate a beneficiary charity or administrator for after you are gone.
